Visiting from Texas and I'm so glad I stopped here for dinner. The restaurant was super clean and the staff were really friendly. The fish, shrimp, rice and gravy were so good!!! I was really impressed with how fresh it tasted and the quality of the fish and shrimp. Definitely recommend!
I had the catfish and shrimp basket and they were cooked to perfection. The fish was crispy and golden brown and the taste superseded all my expectations. I live in the Dallas area now but am from the area...will be making a visit here whenever I'm back in town. Definitely recommend this place.
Food was amazing more than what I asked for service and friendliness was amazing and I received my order within 10 minutes and I got fried shrimp coleslaw. Price was right on the money.

The food is pretty good. You have to show a lot of patience when waiting on your food especially when it's crowded. This is for from a fast food joint. But, it's the best you are going to get on Monkhouse.
Service after counter was exceptional today. Young lady had toamage someone calling looking for directions to Orlandeaux's. Then, had a customer seeking a refund due to delays. She was professional and personable in all her interactions.
